PROJECT BUTTERFLY and POLLINATOR MEDIA present

a rare screening of the award winning documentary film ‘TRUDELL’, which follows the life work of legendary Native American poet, musician and activist John Trudell. Filmmaker Heather Rae spent more than a decade chronicling his travels, spoken word and politics in this provocative, riveting and fascinating film.

The dangerous poetry, visionary music and heroic activism of John Trudell was forged by an extraordinary life. Born of mixed tribal blood, John grew up in and around the Santee Sioux reservation near his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. Trudell worked with the American Indian Movement, serving as Chairman of AIM from 1973 to 1979. The struggle against economic, political and cultural deprivation would, in time, become the raw material for his uncompromising artistic vision.

World Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, 'Trudell' was hailed by the SF Chronicle as being 'extremely engaging...therefore extremely inspiring' and the Village Voice as 'riveting'.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to catch the film and John Trudell live for what promises to be a profound and explosive Q&A with Fidel Rodriguez of Divine Forces Media.
