Our first Sunday Session of 2008: a special evening to raise awareness and funds for the completion of The Vanishing of the Bees. This feature-length documentary takes a piercing investigative look at the economic, political and spiritual implications of the world wide disappearance of the honeybee, a mysterious ecological tragedy that could topple our food chain and forever change our way of life.


Featuring:

The Vanishing of the Bees trailer, the ghost bees and highlights from Hive Mentality Film’s latest shoot.

Q&A with the co-director and producer Maryam Henein

Special Guest Speakers will include:

Cancelled - Melanie St. James of Empowerment Works, a nonprofit global sustainability think-tank who is sponsoring The Vanishing of the Bees through their Artists In Action program.

Added - Leila Conners Petersen, co-director of The 11th Hour

Ol Doinyo Laetoli Le Baba, an animus and cultural preservationist who will speak of how mankind relates to the universe from an indigenous and metaphysical point of view.
