Project Butterfly Film Nights | WED | 29 OCT 08 | 8pm | FREE ~ RSVP REQUIRED

Bring a blanket & pillow and join us for Project Butterfly's Film Night featuring "TEN CANOES" a film by Rolf De Heer (The Tracker).

"Ten Canoes" is Rolf de Heer’s mesmerizing film about Australian Aboriginal life many centuries ago. A story on birth, death and reincarnation in tribal mythology. An ancient, rambling fable in which a young man learns patience, and that the cycle of human life is indivisible from the rhythms of the natural world.

“Ten Canoes” is a close collaboration between De Heer and the Ramingining Aboriginal people, many of whom appear in the movie. The first feature made in an Australian indigenous language, it swept the 2006 Australian Academy Awards
